A lecture by Senator Kesha Ram, the first woman of color to be elected to the Vermont Senate. Ram was born to an Indian father and Jewish-American mother and knows the push to get people of color into state office doesn't stop with her election. Ram is originally from California but studied at The University of Vermont, where she was student body president. In this lecture, she reflects on International Women’s Day, her journey to the Senate, and where Vermont’s future lies for women and people of color.
