Alumni Event Career Development Lecture Presentation/Speaker Student Activities
Winter “Max” Thayer graduated from Castleton University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Statistics in May of 2015. At Castleton, Max focused on community engagement, teaching, research, and analysis, and had the opportunity to present work at regional and international conferences.
Max is currently a student in the Master of Science in Public Health in Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, recently ranked the #1 graduate school of public health in the world. His current research includes a literature review about the impact of deworming on mortality, as well as a systematic review of methods for latent class analysis used to segment patients into distinct preference categories.
During his talk Max will be discussing his experience since moving from Castleton to Johns Hopkins, as well as his research from helminths to domestic public health policies, including national and state level policies concerning cannabis.
