After a stellar four-year playing career, Tyler Higley enters his second season as part of the coaching staff at Castleton University, overseeing the defensive backs as a graduate assistant coach. 

Higley was a four-year starter at Castleton as a quarterback and a cornerback. He was a quarterback in his first two seasons before and moving to the defensive side of the ball for his final two years. Higley was a First Team All-ECFC selection at cornerback in 2015 and was ranked in the top ten in the nation for interceptions per game that season. He owns the school record for interceptions in a season with seven.

Higley is currently working on his bachelor’s degree in sports administration with a minor in coaching and business. Originally from Vernon, Vt., he attended Brattleboro Union High School.
