Castleton University hosts a panel discussion exploring the vision and values of democratic participation within the social-political horizon of health care in Vermont, including Act 39 – Death with Dignity and Medical Assistance in Dying – and Proposition 5 - which states that “an individual’s right to personal reproductive autonomy is central to the liberty and dignity to determine one’s own life course.”
Panelists include Betsy Walkerman, president of Patient Choices Vermont; Meagan Gallagher, president of Planned Parenthood Vermont; and Stephen Kiernan, author/journalist and health care advocate. The panel will be moderated by Vermont Lt. Governor David Zuckerman.
