The Facilitating Career Development (FCD) Training provides individuals with relevant skills and knowledge to assist others in planning their careers and obtaining meaningful work. The FCD curriculum provides training in career development in the form of 120+ class/instructional hours designed around 12 core competencies. The curriculum was developed to provide career providers with standards, training, and specifications. The FCD training leads to two credentials: the internationally recognized Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) awarded by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) and the National Career Development Association’s Certified Career Services Professional (CCSP).
Audience: The following who hold a Bachelor's Degree: Higher Education career center, admissions, student support staff, academic advisors, faculty who provide academic and career advising. Workforce development professionals; guidance counselors/teachers in K-12; private practice career, life, and wellness coaches, and counselors.

Independent Study: Our FCD students come from diverse backgrounds, and their reasons for taking this course vary. The Independent Study component allows each participant to select activities aligned with one or more core competencies in their area of expertise or choice. The goal is to have a component that will offer participants the ability to apply what they’ve learned and great value to those who serve in the career development arena.
