Course Description

This course gives educators the opportunity to design and implement engaging, station-based lessons grounded in the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Participants will explore strategies for differentiating instruction, fostering student agency, and creating inclusive learning environments that meet the needs of every learner. Through practical applications, lesson design, and reflective practice, educators will leave with ready-to-use station-based learning plans that align with UDL frameworks.

Course Goals:

Apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to design inclusive, student-centered instruction.
Plan and facilitate station-based learning to promote engagement, differentiation, and active participation.
Integrate multiple means of representation, action/expression, and engagement to meet diverse learner needs.
Foster student agency and collaboration through structured, purposeful station activities.
Reflect on and refine instructional practices to improve accessibility, equity, and learning outcomes.

Course Objectives:

Explain the core principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and their application in station-based instruction.
Design inclusive, station-based lesson plans that address diverse learner needs and promote engagement.
Implement differentiated strategies that provide multiple means of representation, action/expression, and engagement.
Facilitate student-centered learning environments that foster collaboration, independence, and agency.
Evaluate and refine station-based instructional practices to enhance accessibility, equity, and learning outcomes.
