Castleton Spartan Athletic Bands is a one-of-a-kind experience in Vermont. We perform at athletic events, community celebrations, and area parades. Members of our program come from diverse performing backgrounds. We cater to members with all kinds of experience from those who were section leaders in their high school program to students who have never played an instrument before. In fact, 40 percent of our ensemble has never participated in marching band before Castleton.
All of our ensembles are offered for credit, which means you can make an impact in the community while completing your degree.
Rehearsals for all Athletic Bands are every Wednesday and Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm.
Founded in 2009, the Spartan Marching Band is Vermont’s premier marching ensemble. Our membership includes students from all majors across campus. Students move into the school in early August where they spend a week rehearsing and learning a full halftime show. Each year the show is custom created for our current members. This allows the Spartan Band to create a unique field show that directly revolves around your talents.
