Christine is a native Vermonter who is currently residing in Rutland, VT. Here she lives with her husband, three children, and three dogs. She is an avid knitter and loves the opportunity to golf, and travel whenever possible.
Christine's primary occupation is the Vice President of Accounting and Finance at Heritage Family Federal Credit Union, a $400 million financial cooperative in Rutland, VT. Here she works, as a part of the credit union movement, striving to safeguard the financial assets for their members. Prior to working with Heritage, Christine was an audit supervisor with a local accounting firm; completing audit and tax work for Vermont residents.
Christine started teaching at Castleton University right after her graduation in 2006. She feels that the greatest source of joy in teaching is the opportunity to positively affect and connect with the students. If she can do that, then the semester has been a success.
Finally, Christine tries to be an active member of the Rutland, VT community. She is the treasurer of the Rutland Rotary South Club. Aside from weekly meetings that keep her abreast of local business activities, she is able to volunteer at various events, concentrating on the youth of Rutland, through her Rotary group. Such activities include the betterment of city parks, scholarship interviews for local high schools, and mentoring.
