Scholarships for Spartans

Helping to make quality higher education affordable to all students.

Over 85 percent of Castleton University students require some form of financial aid to pay for their education. In addition, the majority of students who withdraw from their programs do so because of an inability to pay. By supplementing financial need through scholarships, more students will have the ability to complete their schooling, graduate, and become educated members of the workforce.

“Your gift plays a critical role in ensuring Castleton’s transformational education remains affordable and helps us prepare students for a global workforce.”
– Dr. Karen M. Scolforo, President

All students, regardless of their economic background, should have access to affordable high-quality education. Scholarships for Spartans aims to build Castleton University’s scholarship endowment, while simultaneously providing real-time scholarship dollars to students at risk of attrition due to financial challenges. With your gifts and support, we will help ensure that our Spartans, present, and future, have the resources they need to become the next generation of leaders in our communities.

“We give to Castleton because we witness all the ways the students and alumni impact the world around us. Access to education is a true equalizer and your gift matters.”
– Jennifer Bagley, VSCS Hall of Fame

Our scholarship recipients are going on to participate in groundbreaking research, volunteer in local communities, distinguish themselves as professional leaders, and hold top positions at renowned national and international companies. They are making a difference here at Castleton, in the state of Vermont, across the United States, and around the world.

Everyone who participates in the Scholarship for Spartans campaign will be recognized in the annual honor roll of donors in our giving societies.

Additionally, all gifts of $25,000 and above will provide the donor with the opportunity to leave an indelible mark on the University by naming a public space, academic area, school, room, athletic facility, or building.
