Castleton University welcomes all alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and community members to its annual Homecoming & Family Weekend. This year’s event runs from Friday, Sept. 17 to Sunday, Sept. 19. Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy a weekend full of activities and events, including athletic events and tailgating, family fun zone, live entertainment, and more.
Homecoming & Family Weekend kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday with an alumni social for the Class of 2020, an athletics alumni reception, and comedian, magician, and balloon artist John Cassidy.
On Saturday, Castleton Athletics hosts its hall of fame induction ceremony, recognizing Matthew Parker '97, Carolyn (Griggs) Brown '09, and C. Michael Cronin '72. Football, volleyball, women’s soccer, and women’s tennis have home games on Saturday. Tailgating lots will open at 12 p.m. The annual men’s lacrosse Doug Mackenzie Alumni game kicks off at 6 p.m.
Other events throughout the day include therapy dog visits, inflatable bounce houses, cow plop bingo, the Castleton Alumni Association annual meeting, and more.
On Sunday, the baseball team hosts a golf tournament at Lake St. Catherine Country Club, and Field Hockey takes on Skidmore College at 2 p.m.
All guests will be expected to follow Castleton's COVID-19 safety protocols, which includes wearing face masks when inside.
