Castleton University, in partnership with Heritage Family Credit Union, will present the 24th annual Castleton Summer Concerts at the Pavilion every Tuesday evening from June 25 through August 6 at the Castleton Pavilion.
Heritage Family Credit Union Presents: Castleton Summer Concerts at the Pavilion features a premiere lineup of local bands in an eight-show series that highlights live entertainment by outstanding local area professional musicians.
Kicking off this year’s series is The Grift, taking the stage on June 25 at 7 p.m. The Grift is Vermont’s good-time party band, playing catchy original tunes and popular covers across a variety of musical genres. Members of the band, who have been performing together for almost 20 years, have also shared a stage with the likes of Carlos Santana, Phish, and Dave Matthews.
This year’s lineup also includes:
July 2 – Studio Two (Beatles tribute band)
July 9 – DC3, Rick Redington & The Luv, and The Heavily Brothers (Rocking Americana)
July 16 – Mile Twelve (Bluegrass)
July 17 – Chamber Music Institute (A special Wednesday evening performance)
July 23 – Blues for Breakfast (Blues and rock)
July 30 – Twangbusters (Country classic and Honky Tonk)
August 6 – Satin & Steel (Soul and R&B)
All concerts in the series begin at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public. The Castleton Pavilion is an indoor/outdoor facility, which allows concerts to be held rain or shine. Castleton University will be collecting non-perishable food items to support local food shelves at each performance.
