Castleton University is one of 13 Vermont colleges partnering with the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development and Vermont Student Assistance Program for the Choose Vermont Scholarship program.
The program will award 14 $5,000 scholarships to students who commit to attending Castleton University or another Vermont college by June 1. In total, the Choose Vermont Scholarship program will award approximately $70,000 to Vermont and out-of-state students who commit to attending any of the 13 participating colleges and universities.
The inaugural Choose Vermont Scholarship was launched in 2019, giving away two $5,000 scholarships. Castleton Political Science major Brandon Ryan was one of the recipients. In its first year, more than 1,400 students committed to continuing their education in Vermont. Last year, 11 students received a combined total of $60,000 in scholarship through the program.
To be eligible to win a $5,000 Choose Vermont scholarship from Castleton University, students must commit by June 1, 2021, and register online at ThinkVermont.com/scholarship.
The Choose Vermont Scholarship program is made possible by the support of the Vermont Assistance Corporation, the Association of Vermont Independent Colleges, and the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development.
